It is quite ironic, but Peruvian President Alan Garcia, known to be a free market supporter, just appointed Yehude Simon to the second highest position in the country, the chief Cabinet Minister post. Simon was a former radical imprisoned for alleged sympathy with guerillas. A Ancient fortress ruin was discovered in Peru's side of the Amazon. The citadel is estimated to date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Among what they saw were mud walls, towers, a water reservoir, and more than a dozen human skulls.The fortress was discovered in the area called Santiago de Lomas, near the Colan mountain range. Abandoned camps and arrow found in western Brazil are evidence of an isolated Amazon tribes that flee Peru to escape the illegal loggers.The tribes have is said to be "uncontacted", they are so remote making a little or no substantive contact to the outside world. Authorities that recognize the isolated tribes are not struggling to find best ways to protect them and stop illegal logging which is displacing the indigenous group.
