Peru's largest bank the Banco de Credito had announced that they had reached a deal to acquire a 77.1 percent stake at Financiera Edyficar, the country's second largest micro finance group for nearly $80 million.
According to the bank's chief executive, Walter Bayly, the said deal was just part of the $96 million offer for the whole of Edyficar, which is controlled by CARE, a nongovernmental organization.
